The White House announced that public tours will resume on Dec. 2, following a temporary pause caused by the construction of the new ballroom.
The ballroom project, which also required tearing down the East Wing, has stirred controversy and renewed debate about the preservation of historic presidential spaces. The new ballroom is expected to be completed before the end of President Donald Trump’s second term in January 2029.
