Top of the Ticker : Looking to visually assert its split from MSNBC and CNBC, NBC News launched a new marketing campaign, “Reporting for America.” The campaign, appearing on-air and on social media , focuses on the news division’s core mission: fact-based, widely accessible journalism.

In a note to staffers, NBCUniversal News Group chairman Cesar Conde stated Americans are not disinterested in news, but are hungry for civil discourse and trustworthy reporting.

“Exactly what NBC News stands for,” Conde said.
