EAGLE ROCK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Caltrans believes a highway sign honoring former President Barack Obama in Los Angeles has been stolen.

The sign marking the route as "President Barack H. Obama Highway" stood along the 134 Freeway in the Eagle Rock area.

Caltrans says it submitted a request to replace the sign on June 25. The estimated cost to replace is around $4,000.

The sign was installed in 2018. The former president attended Occidental College in Eagle Rock from 1979 to 1981 and lived in Pasadena.
