Several Proud Boys members found themselves with a different audience for their $100 million lawsuit against the government than originally thought after a recent shuffling of judicial responsibility.

On Friday, in a perhaps fortuitous turn, their Florida case was reassigned to U.S. District Judge Anne-Leigh Gaylord Moe, an appointee of President Donald Trump who took her place on the bench last week.

Earlier this year, the case was assigned to U.S. District Judge Wendy W. Berger — who was appointed by Trump in his first term.

In typical fashion, the Middle District of Florida case was randomly assigned to the first judge in the first instance.

But it is unclear exactly why the reassignment occurred.
