BATTLE CREEK ― A lot of Battle Creek-area volleyball teams have had good seasons. As those same teams start the postseason, they have some work to do if they want to finish their season in their home area.

The road to Battle Creek starts Monday, Nov. 3, for high school volleyball teams throughout the state as the Michigan High School Athletic Association state tournament beings with district play. The goal for every program in high school volleyball is to keep playing until they get to Battle Creek, home of the MHSAA state finals on Nov. 20-22.

Locally, Harper Creek made it all the way back last year, earning a spot in the Division 2 state semifinals.

Which area teams can make a similar run? It is time to find out.
