BOROUGH PARK — A 71-year-old Brooklyn man, identified as Noach Klein, longtime owner of Unique Sterling, was killed Wednesday night after being struck by a van on 8th Avenue near 48th Street in Borough Park, reports ABC News .
Police said the 38-year-old driver, traveling north, hit Klein and a 54-year-old pedestrian around 6:30 p.m. Klein was pronounced dead at Maimonides Medical Center; the second man remains in stable condition. The driver stayed at the scene and has not been charged. Community members remembered Klein as a fixture of the neighborhood’s business community.
The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad is investigating.
