Investigators from a state police task force and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration have seized 140,000 fentanyl pills as part of a probe into a Dominican organization's New England drug-trafficking activities.

The pills were seized in Johnston and Warwick and at locations in Massachusetts, state police Maj. Kenneth M. Moriarty said on Friday Oct. 31.
