The NFL has fined the Baltimore Ravens $100,000 for violating the injury report in regards to starting quarterback Lamar Jackson’s status last week, according to NFL Media.
As Jackson worked his way back from a hamstring injury, he ran the scout team Friday. The Ravens listed him as a full participant at practice and questionable for last Sunday’s game against the Bears.
However, league policy states that a player must be listed as limited if they don’t take their normal practice reps, which Jackson didn’t. The Ravens corrected the report on Saturday and downgraded Jackson to out.
Per Ian Rapoport, the league believes Baltimore’s mistake was one of negligence, not malice, and that factored into the punishment. The Ravens released a statement saying they accepted the league’s findings
