LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Crews are cleaning up the scene of a jackknifed semitrailer in northeast Lincoln on Friday.
Just after 1:15 p.m., several first responders were sent to the area of 84th Street and Leighton Avenue.
According to the Lincoln Police Department, a crash between two vehicles caused the semi to jackknife.
Authorities said the semi also spilled at least 100 gallons of diesel fuel from its saddle tanks due to the crash.
The Hazmat team with LFR is on the scene working to clean up the fuel.
Roads in the area were shut down due to the crash, but LPD said Leighton Avenue is now open.
LPD said 84th Street will open “soon.”
