SALEM, Ohio (WKBN) - As the holiday season approaches, one local organization is making sure the sacrifices of our nation's heroes are never forgotten.
The Xterra Health Foundation-- a group founded by disabled veterans-- is partnering with Wreaths Across America to honor fallen service members in Columbiana County. Every December, Thousands of wreaths are laid across the country. Each one a symbol of honor, gratitude and remembrance. This year, Xterra Health Foundation is joining that mission, bringing Wreaths Across America to Damascus Cemetery.
"A lot of times, if you don't remember what they did and the sacrifices others made before us, it can be forgotten," said Dr. Marshall Bahr, Xterra Health Foundation co-founder.
