LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Southwest Gas and NV Energy are offering utility assistance to customers struggling to pay their bills amid the government shutdown, according to a company spokesperson.
It has been nearly a month since the government shutdown. Some federal employees have been furloughed, and families across the country are experiencing food insecurity.
SW Gas , which operates in Arizona, Nevada, and parts of California, has a range of payment plans and assistance programs to support those during this difficult time.
Available Programs:
Deferred Payment Plan: Gives customers who qualify a chance to pay overdue bills without disrupting their services.
Energy Share: An emergency assistance fund, which is allocated and managed by community partners.
