INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Pacers will be without another key player for some time due to injury.

On Friday, the team announced forward Obi Toppin has been diagnosed with a partial stress fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot.

Toppin will travel to New York to have his injury surgically repaired at the Hospital for Special Surgery.

In just his three games played this season, Toppin averaged 27.3 minutes per game, boasted a perfect free throw percentage and averaged about 14 points per game.

Head coach Rick Carlisle says Toppin is expected to be out until at least February.
