APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - The now-former band director at Fox Valley Lutheran High School has been formally charged with 20 counts of child pornography possession.
The formal charges stem from an arrest made by Appleton Police Officers on October 29 following an online tip through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
In a criminal complaint acquired by Local 5 News, 63-year-old James Neujahr faces 20 possession charges. Prosecutors seek to place him under lifetime supervision should he be convicted.
Each charge is a Class D felony, which is punishable by up to $100,000 in fines and/or 25 years in prison, if Neujahr is convicted.
