ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - An assault charge against Bar:PM owner Chad Morris was dropped Friday, nearly two years after he was initially charged.
The charge was dismissed after a 22nd Circuit Judge found the prosecutor’s office was not complying with a court order.

In December 2023, Morris was charged with resisting arrest and fourth-degree assault. In September 2024, the resisting arrest charge was dropped .
The charges stem from a night when an SLMPD officer crashed a cruiser into Morris’ bar. Police said the crash was caused when the officer was adjusting the radio in the cruiser .
Police accused Morris of hitting an officer with an open hand in the chest, according to charging documents.
