ST PAUL, Minn. — Days after a fire forced hundreds of people to evacuate a large apartment building in St. Paul, some residents are being told they can move back in.

The fire happened around 12:30 a.m. Sunday on the twelfth floor at Skyline Tower. In a press release Monday, the City of St. Paul stated that firefighters extinguished the flames without any injuries. Minutes later, the building's electrical system failed and activated sprinklers on three floors. The power completely went out and disrupted the building's water, heat, fire suppression, alarms and elevators. As a result, all Skyline Tower residents were evacuated and transported to alternate housing.
