AKRON, Ohio — Spezio Harmon, 25, and Angelica, 21, are both deaf. On Thursday, they became husband and wife in Akron with the help of their ASL interpreter, McKenna.
Their love story began five years ago in Las Vegas.
"We met a few years ago. We met in Las Vegas and we had a really good time. We went to a bar together and we met and introduced ourselves," Spezio said through his interpreter. "And we've been going together for five years and we came back here to be with family. And five years later, here we are. We decided to take the next step and get married."
The couple spoke about what they love most about each other.
"My favorite thing about Spezio, he's really loving towards me. He shows me a lot of affection and he is proactive," Angelica said through the interpreter.
