BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A Sacramento father is dead, a mother is injured and an infant is uninjured after a crash on Interstate 5 early Friday morning.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol responded to Interstate 5 near Lerdo Highway around 5:39 a.m. for the report of a single-vehicle crash.
Investigation showed a 30-year-old woman was driving a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser northbound in the number one lane of Interstate 5 at about 70 mph.
CHP said, for reasons unknown, the vehicle veered to the right into the number two lane, back to the number one then back into the number two lane.
The vehicle continued onto the shoulder and rolled over.
