LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Hospital data shows a sharp increase in accidents involving e-scooters and e-bikes across Las Vegas medical facilities.

University Medical Center reported 189 patients with e-bike and e-scooter injuries so far in 2025, with two months remaining in the year. The numbers represent a significant jump from previous years.

In 2023, UMC treated 97 patients for injuries involving e-bikes and e-scooters. That number increased to 160 patients in 2024.

University Medical Center says the totals include adult and pediatric patients.

Sunrise Hospital has reported more than 150 incidents from January through October 2025, according to the hospital.

The data reflects growing concerns about safety as electric mobility devices become more popular in the Las Vegas area.
