AUBURN — Ashton Daniels will be Auburn football 's starting quarterback when the Tigers face Kentucky on Saturday, Nov. 1, according to multiple reports, one week after he replaced Jackson Arnold in Auburn 's win against Arkansas .
Hugh Freeze informed the team of the decision Friday evening, the night before the game, according to a report from ESPN's Pete Thamel .
It'll be Daniels' first start for Auburn, and it comes after he helped the Tigers beat the Razorbacks in comeback fashion, helming five consecutive second-half scoring drives in a 33-24 result . Daniels replaced incumbent starter Arnold just before halftime, following an Arkansas pick-six that gave the Razorbacks a 21-10 heading into the half.
