Candy corn is one of America’s most polarizing candies.

Some love the waxy, orange Halloween treat, while detractors despise it.

Jeremy Springer is such a big fan that he tabbed it as his favorite Halloween candy on WEEI Afternoons . The Patriots special teams coordinator then likened it to a divisive band that he also enjoys.

“I don’t know why candy corn is so looked down on. It’s great. It’s like Nickelback,” Springer said. “It’s like Nickelback, right? That’s how I feel at least.”

Springer joked that he may have a “selfish Sunday” and pick up some more candy corn if the Patriots knock off the Falcons — and it’d be no surprise if he listens to a little bit of Nickelback on the way.
