The New York Giants lost one of their twin engines behind a franchise resurgence in 2025 when Cam Skattebo went down with a gruesome injury against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8, and the team must now find at least a temporary replacement for the electric rookie running back.
Skattebo dislocated his ankle, fractured his fibula and ruptured his deltoid ligament on the play in question, all of which will combine to sideline him for the remainder of the regular season.
Second-year back Tyrone Tracy Jr., a fifth-round pick in 2024, is slotted as RB1 heading into the team's Week 9 matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, but the Giants have options to upgrade the position if they choose.
