LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The case of a Norton Commons YouTuber accused of possessing and distributing child pornography has been waived to a grand jury.
39-year-old Michael Booth was arrested on Wednesday, October 22.
Police say Booth used the social media app Kik to share child pornography in August of this year.
Court documents state a search warrant uncovered files depicting minors under the age of 12 were distributed at least 12 times, and three files of minors over the age of 12 were distributed at least 15 times.
Booth has a large following on social media under the name Mr. Crafty Pants . His YouTube Channel, which had thousands of followers, has been taken down.
Today in court, Booth’s attorney agreed to waive the case to the grand jury.
Booth’s bond remains at $100,000
