The Atlanta Falcons are gearing up to host the New England Patriots on Sunday, and they'll have a familiar face in tow.
After a week out, quarterback Michael Penix Jr. will be back for Atlanta after dealing with a knee injury.
Penix Jr. had no injury designation on Friday's injury report, according to the team . He'll start for the Falcons against the Patriots. Penix Jr. was injured during the team's loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Oct. 19 and was out for the team's game in Week 8 against the Miami Dolphins.
Kirk Cousins started in place of Penix against the Dolphins. He'll serve as backup on Sunday.
During his media availability on Wednesday, Penix Jr. said he felt good during practice. He also said that he thinks it was smart that he took time off, though.
