Despite the popularity of inflatable frogs , Ashland’s Halloween parade Friday was a seemingly endless stream of custom costumes.
Thousands of people paraded down Main Street under sunny skies, past an almost equal number of spectators filling downtown sidewalks and occasionally joining the strolling cast of characters.
The parade, an annual highlight in the art-centric city, was made more animated by members of the Ashland Middle School band blasting the dance-pop synth-rock classic “Ghostbusters.”
The procession moved from the Ashland Public Library on East Main Street a half-mile to the downtown plaza area.
