SYRACUSE, Utah – A high-scoring first half turned into a second half defensive battle with Syracuse prevailing on a last-second, 36-yard field goal to win 31-28.
The Syracuse Titans hosted the Westlake Thunder in the Game Night Live Game of the Week on Friday, October 31.
First Quarter
Westlake took the opening kick and used a potent rushing attack to reach Titan territory.
After a nearly six-minute-long drive, senior QB Bosten Fountaine connected with Malik Sika on the short slant for a touchdown.
Syracuse came right back with its own scoring drive. Junior QB Ledger Wight completed a long pass to get the Titans within striking distance.
Two plays later, freshman running back Kao Prom used a speed burst to get around the edge before diving to the pylon, evening the game 7-7.
