Chattanooga has long fostered a vibrant and avid rowing community–year-round you can find rowers of all levels on the Tennessee River–but this weekend, you're going to see even more.
"This is really when kind of the world shows up at our waterfront here in Chattanooga," says Barry White, CEO of Chattanooga Tourism Company.
For nearly two decades, the city has hosted the Head of the Hooch , one of the biggest rowing competitions in the country.
"We like to boast that this is the second-largest rowing regatta in the U.S.,” White says.
Scattered all around Chattanooga's riverfront, you'll find crews prepping boats and spectators taking in the action.
"Just go down there, and you'll see all the boats lined up all the way down the parkway and everything, and it's just a cool event,”
