CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Now that Halloween is over, Palmetto Goodwill is encouraging families to donate their gently used Halloween costumes.
There are 33 retail stores and a donation center where families can drop off their costumes and change a life.
In 2024, Palmetto Goodwill provided services to over 11,00 people and helped place individuals into 4,000 jobs across the region.
Once the donated costumes and any other items are dropped off, they will be resold. Not only does it give the item a new life, but it also helps keep waste from piling up at local landfills.
Over 35 million pounds were diverted from landfills in 2024, thanks to donations from community members.
Not to mention, you are providing help to those who may not be able to afford a costume elsewhere.
