TEMPLE, Texas — On a chilly Halloween night under the lights at Wildcat Stadium, Temple’s defense was frighteningly good. The Wildcats shut out Copperas Cove 32-0 in KCEN's Game of the Week, improving to 7-2 on the season.
Temple set the tone early when Ramauhn Brown broke through traffic, found a gap and sprinted to the end zone for a touchdown in the first quarter. The Wildcats missed the extra point but took a 6-0 lead they would never give up.
Copperas Cove had its chances in the opening half, driving deep into Temple territory behind quarterback Craig Davis III. But a missed field goal by Lane Ledger and a fourth-down stop by the Wildcats’ defense kept the Bulldawgs scoreless.
