AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - For Halloween, we decided to look into ghost lore across the CSRA.

Here are some of the stories we found:

Ware’s Folly

Among the better-known haunts in Augusta is a historic home known as Ware’s Folly at 506 Telfair St.

Built in 1818 and serving as the home of onetime Augusta Mayor and U.S. Sen. Nicholas Ware, the building has housed the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art for decades.

Experts determined the stories of hauntings there were more than just a legend.

In 2019, Middle Georgia Paranormal Investigations found three male ghosts and one female ghosts walked the halls . The experts were unsure of the ghosts’ identities, but reported one of them was pacing, and another told them to leave.
