Edna Karr quarterback John Johnson and running back Tre Garrison combined for five touchdowns as two Cougar defenders also reached the end zone against John Curtis in a district-clinching 48-26 victory Friday at The Shrine on Airline.
Linebacker Kevin Martin returned a fumble 10 yards for an early touchdown that helped Karr to a 21-0 advantage before the first quarter ended, and LSU commitment Richard Anderson, a defensive lineman, ran 30 yards or so for another fumble return score late in the game between two undefeated teams.
The win clinched at least a share of the district title, and Karr (9-0, 6-0 District 9-5A) can win the outright district title for the fourth year in a row with another victory next week against Rummel.
