CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cavs’ injury report grew ahead of their first NBA Cup group play game against Toronto on Friday, but good news also came out of head coach Kenny Atkinson’s pregame press conference.

On Monday, Darius Garland was assigned to the Cleveland Charge, the Cavs’ G League affiliate to begin his ramp-up process. Atkinson emphasized that the Cavs wanted the All-Star guard to experience game-like conditions before returning to NBA action.
