ANKENY, Iowa —

The Board of Directors at Des Moines Area Community College has appointed Dr. Liang Chee Wee as interim president.

Wee will lead starting Jan. 1, 2026, while the college continues its presidential search.

Wee previously served as president of Northeast Iowa Community College from 2011 to 2022. He also recently concluded nearly two years of service as interim chancellor of Eastern Iowa Community Colleges.
