Eastern Lebanon County football on Friday held off Kennard-Dale 28-21 to advance to the District 3 Class 4A quarterfinal.
The Rams regained momentum in the fourth quarter, as Kennard-Dale tallied a 14-point closing frame, but the Raiders held on to secure the victory, as the Rams struggled to get its offense going early and could not make up for lost ground.
Ryan Green led the Kennard-Dale in rushing with 89 yards on the ground off of 17 carries. For ELCO, the Raiders scored steadily and often and were led on the ground by Ellis Gensamer. Gensamer moved the chains for 192 yards on the evening and finished with two touchdowns.
