LINDALE, Texas (KETK) -- The Lindale Eagles are one game closer to securing a top spot in the district standings after sneaking their way past the Pine Tree Pirates.

FINAL SCORE: Pine Tree 10 - Lindale 17

The Eagles now sit with a 8-1 record and have successfully defended their top three spot in the district standings. Following just behind Kilgore, the Eagles need one more win to finish the regular season at second place.

Next week, Lindale is on the road to Henderson where they will face off against the Lions on Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m.
