The first game of the regular season ended with the Prairie Falcons stopping a two-point conversion in the final seconds for the win.
And the Falcons’ last game of the regular season finished the same way.
“Yeah, it’s kind of poetic,” senior quarterback Deven Vigue said.
And exciting.
The Falcons stopped Heritage on a two-point conversion with 18 seconds left to hold on for a 21-20 victory that will send Prairie to the Week 10 playoffs.
“It’s huge,” Vigue said of reaching the postseason. “Like all the hard work that we had in the offseason, all the summer workouts, it all pays off right now.”
The stop at the end capped a wild fourth quarter.
