Widespread rain and thunderstorms are expected across multiple regions of India through the end of the week (until November 2), caused by the remnants of Cyclone Montha and a depression over the east-central Arabian Sea.

According to the India Meteorological Department’s latest bulletin, released on October 30 at 20:04 IST, several regions of the country are likely to experience widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds in the coming days.

The Met Office predicted extremely heavy rainfall over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on Friday, October 31. Heavy rainfall is also expected over east Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Konkan, Chhattisgarh and east Madhya Pradesh, among others.
