The last time Buffalo played the Kansas City the Chiefs ended the Bills season in the playoffs for the fourth time in five years.

"It's not fun, but to be the champs you gotta be the champs and we didn't do it tonight," a morose Allen said after losing 32-29 in the AFC Championship Game in January.

Allen and the Bills have been beaten the Chiefs in each of the last four years in the regular season, though.

Allen will face Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes for the 10th time in five years when the Bills host the Chiefs at 4:25 p.m. on Sunday.

Buffalo and Kansas City have played each other 57 times, 50 in the regular season and seven in the playoffs, since the franchises were part of the inaugural American Football League season.
