Eleven couples who weren't scared to tie the knot on Halloween Day married their forever boos on Oct. 31 in the grand lobby of Akron's historic Civic Theater.
Couples dressed up in costumes as Village of Lakemore Mayor Richard Cole officiated their weddings as part of the Akron Municipal Court's off-site wedding event, according to a court news release. The court hosts multiple events every year, with the next coming in December.
From 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 3, couples will be married by Akron Municipal Court Judge Annalisa Williams at the Hower House Museum on the University of Akron campus at 60 Fir Hill. The indoor venue will be decorated to celebrate the holiday season, a court news release explained.
