Times changed and the Forum was becoming too small for the Canadiens' needs when they moved out in 1996. Canadian Press
My question relates to the old Forum. Instead of investing in a new complex in Brossard, why was the Forum not considered as their training facility? Not only would we have kept a big piece of history, but it could have also served as a museum, like a Canadiens Hall of Fame, where people could have gone to visit as well as watch practices. The Forum could have still continued to generate revenue via social events and activities, including historical presentations for visitors. The Forum is falling apart in terms of purpose and value. It could still be flipped one day and restored to something respectful under the Canadiens’ umbrella. Article content
