Two English and one Irish woman have been rescued after they were trapped in a secluded valley in the Himalayas, Nepal, for three days .
The trio, named as Catherine Jane Wilson, 53, from Reigate, Emily Jane Coates, 44, from London, and Mary Reape, 65, from Ireland, were being led by guides from Katmandu.
But on October 27 they became stranded in an area known as the ‘Hidden Valley’, a high-altitude basin in the Mustang region which has a history of extreme and unpredictable weather including heavy snowfall and landslides.
They were being led by guides from the Sacred Himalaya Treks and Expedition. The other trekkers in the group were Dirgalal Lama, Nimaraj Lama, Maandhoj Lama, Navin Lama, Tashi Sherpa, Tshering Tamang, Sonam Tamang, Nima Lama, Kaila Tamang, Buddharaj Tamang, Kanchhaman
