Five people were found dead in a house fire in Paterson on Friday, Oct. 31 — Halloween night, authorities said.

Firefighters stabilized the structure fire at 15 Emerson Avenue shortly after 9:50 p.m., according to city fire officials.

Five victims, a 39-year-old man, a 38-year-old woman, and three children ages 14, 12, and 7, were found inside of the home, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said.
