In a recent interview with Delish, former Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis revealed: "I get asked this a lot — What about you carrying some version of penne?' And I'm like, why? It's been done a million times over? It is so boring." She prefers more interesting pasta shapes like spaghetti alla chitarra, which has fine ridges that are great for sauce, and nodi marini, which Giada describes as "a sailor's knot, so it looks almost like a bell, but it's not a campanelle."
She also said that "matcha flavor — and the matcha cookies and matcha everything — is not for me. I just don't like that graininess or that flavor. I'd rather just have my espresso or my coffee."
