The Uttarkashi branch of Uttarakhand Gramin Bank organised a Digital Financial Literacy Programme (DFLP) at the Government Inter College, Gangori as part of the observance of Vigilance Week. The primary objective of the programme was to educate young people—especially those in the Generation Z category—about digital banking, financial literacy and cyber-security, the UGB officials said. The bank officials explained to the students the importance of vigilance against cybercrimes when using banking services in today’s digital age. Students were given practical tips on how to protect themselves from online frauds such as UPI, net banking, ATM transactions and phishing. This aside, they urged the students to become informed citizens while remaining honest
