The Los Angeles Lakers secured a 117-112 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday, with Luka Doncic putting up 44 points , 12 rebounds, and six assists. However, it was what he said about Austin Reaves afterward that sparked conversation.

In the post-game press conference, the interviewer asked Doncic if averaging 40 points per game was sustainable, noting he was the first Laker to average 45 through three straight games since Kobe Bryant in 2007.

Doncic responded honestly about the difficulty of maintaining that pace, via Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
