Middlesbrough had very few positives to take as they suffered defeat for just the second time this season - but it was a stinker, as they lost 3-0 away at Watford.

Imran Louza, Luca Kjerrumgaard and Mamadou Doumbia scored the goals as Boro’s bright start proved in vain. Failing to make use of their early possessional control, they found themselves two-nil down despite dominating the opening 35 minutes.

Conceding a third early in the second half, in what Boro deemed to be an offside goal, killed any faint hope of a second-half comeback on this occasion, with this a day to forget for Rob Edwards’ side. Here’s the Boro ratings, reflecting a bad day all round.
