NASSAU COUNTY, N.Y. (PIX11) – A Queens-based company is accused of running school buses with forged insurance papers, Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly announced Wednesday.

Cheese Bus Inc., owned by Malik Turnage Senior and Malike Turnage Juir, faces charges of offering false instruments and two counts of insurance fraud, according to court documents.

From 2019 to 2024, the company allegedly used forged insurance documents to operate its fleet of school buses, according to officials.

“These defendants were trusted with safely transporting young students, but they chose to cut corners and put lives at risk, allegedly,” said DA Donnelly. “Operating school buses without proper insurance is not only illegal, but it’s also completely reckless and unacceptable.”
