Brad Lambert scored his first NHL goal, and the Jets beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-2 on Saturday afternoon.

Lambert’s goal occurred at 2:43 of the first period, with Cole Koepke and Parker Ford earning the helpers.

Koepke did the lion’s share of the work as he circled behind the Pittsburgh net and threw the puck across the crease to Lambert, who was battling with Pens defender Harrison Brunicke for position at the right post. Somehow, Lambert managed to jam the puck under the right pad of Artus Silovs. Ford earned his first NHL assist on the play. Silovs stopped 29 shots in the loss.
