Firefighters rescued a woman who was asleep when flames broke out early Saturday morning at a home in Concord, New Hampshire, but a man who was also in the house at the time did not survive.
The New Hampshire State Fire Marshal's Office says the Concord Fire Department responded just before 3:30 a.m. to Rhodora Court for a medical alert and arrived on scene to smoke coming out the front door of the home.

Crews began an immediate search of the house, finding and rescuing the woman, who was not injured, before locating the man dead on another floor, officials said.
No firefighters were injured battling the blaze.
Investigators responded to the scene and preliminarily determined there were no working smoke alarms on
