DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Essentia Health’s West Duluth clinic hosted a women’s health event to empower women to take control of their health.

They offered extended hours for services including cervical cancer screenings, mammograms, and family health consultations.

They even provided a free facial treatment from estheticians, because they said skincare is often left out in discussions of health.

“There are a lot of external factors that can play a role in damaging the skin, the sun, air pollutants, things like that, and then everything you put into your body plays into effect as well,” said Essentia Health Skin Renewal Center Laser Technician Ceara Graves. “So, it’s really important that we can explain those benefits of really taking care of your skin.”
