In a major coup for the Aberdeen Tigers, former NRL star – and Upper Hunter product – Jamie Feeney will mentor the Group 21 club.
The Muswellbrook-born forward recently put pen to paper on a deal for 2026.
While he’s played more than 100 games, the 47-year-old also boasts an impressive coaching career at the highest level.
Feeney, educated at both Muswellbrook High and St Joseph’s High Aberdeen, donned the Canterbury Bulldogs jumper on 112 occasions from 1999 to 2004.
He made his first grade debut against the Warriors in round 12 on 23 May 1999.
Unfortunately, he missed the side’s 2004 grand final victory over the Sydney Roosters.
He then joined the Melbourne Storm, snaring 20 appearances in 2005 and 2006.
Along the way, the lock/second-rower represented NSW Country, too.
